An alphabetized directory of print and online magazines and journals that provide the latest research, theory and practice for English language teaching.

JURN is a unique search-engine dedicated to indexing free and ‘open access’ ejournals in the arts and humanities. It has been built by hand over a period of five years. In March/April 2014 the scope of JURN was widened to include other open scholarly publications, such as theses and journals in science, biomedical, business and ecology related topics.

Language Magazine

This is a journal of education, communication and language. The main articles are directed for teachers and administrator in the area to Literacy and Teaching English. It also reviews topics concerned with other languages as well: Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Italian and Arabic. It has a travel guide and offers an online forum to discuss new trends in language teaching.

Language Teaching

Language Teaching is the essential research resource for language professionals providing a rich and expert overview of research in the field of second-language teaching and learning. It offers critical survey articles of recent research on specific topics, second and foreign languages and countries, and invites original research articles reporting on replication studies and meta-analyses. Published for over 50 years, Modern English Teacher magazine is packed with interesting, informative articles and authoritative reviews. It covers all aspects of English language teaching and offers a magazine for teachers and language professionals that is stimulating, challenging and useful for professional development and day-to-day teaching.

Modern Journal of Applied Linguistics

It is an international journal, concerned with all branches of language and linguistics with preference given to articles of practical interests. MJAL makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information contained in its publications. Its aim is to present work of current interest in all areas of language and linguistics studies. Also, a considerable number of pages in each issue are devoted to critical book review.

RELC Journal

The RELC Journal is a fully peer-reviewed international journal that publishes original research and review articles on language education. The aim of this Journal is to present information and ideas on theories, research, methods and materials related to language learning and teaching. Within this framework the Journal welcomes contributions in such areas of current enquiry as first and second language learning and teaching, language and culture, discourse analysis, language planning, language testing, multilingual education, stylistics, translation and information technology.

Studies in English Language Teaching

Studies in English Language Teaching (SELT) is the official open access journal of Scholink. In order to give all researchers equal opportunity to share their ideas, SELT adopts double-blind peer-review. SELT calls for the submission of papers in the field of English language teaching, which includes, but is not limited to the following fields: English language teaching, second language acquisition, applied linguistics teaching and learning.

TESL Canada Journal

The TESL Canada Journal is a refereed journal for practicing teachers, teacher educators, graduate students, and researchers. TESL Canada Journal invites the submission of unpublished manuscripts about the learning and teaching of official languages; second language teacher education; and the maintenance and development of minority, heritage, or Aboriginal languages. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

TESL EJ: The Electronic Journal for English as a Second Language

TESL-EJ began as the brainchild of a group of scholars who saw the need for a freely-distributed electronic academic journal. It has grown to become an internationally-recognized source of ESL and EFL information for people in scores of countries. Our first issue was published in the spring of 1994. Since then, we have published a wide array of articles and reviews, linking authors and readers on an international scale. TESL-EJ is fully refereed – each article undergoes a review by at least two knowledgeable scholars.
